May 6 – We leave Vancouver about 2pm. There was little wind. It took about 4 hours to motor to Gibsons Harbour. We anchored just off the main wharf, about a 5 minute row away. On the wharf is public washrooms, a laundromat and a free access dumpster. Close by are lots of restaurants, gift stores and even a liquor store. It’s about a half hour walk up the hill to the main highway and assorted other services and a mall. I walked up there to a Petrocan to get some top up engine oil for the ol’ Yanmar.
