June 12 – Left Goose Bay at about 7:30 am. Ok seas (no rain) except quite “rolly polly” mid crossing. Once into U.S. waters our online custom clearance forms were able to be submitted. We made our declarations and took photos of our passports the night before in Goose Bay. Clearance given by email so we did not have to physically check in at Customs in Ketchikan and could legally anchor before Ketchikan. Thankyou StarLink. At about 7 hours out of Goose Bay, we tucked into a nice anchorage at Hassler Harbor. First night in Alaska. We were the only ones there and there was a nice shell beach on a small island to take Pi for a walk. A very “dogable” anchorage. I fixed the snapped electrical ( for the windlass; down switch (so not crucial but nice to be working)) wiring in the chain locker and secured it out of harms way.
