July 30. As forecast; it was a cloudy showery day. It was a 4 hour motor into Fury Cove, again. This cove is a favourite jumping off and landing spot for boaters preparing to cross or recovering from crossing Queen Charlotte Strait. It is about about a 35 mile open to the Pacific crossing from the mainland to the northern tip of Vancouver Island. It can be a very challenging crossing if the tides and winds don’t cooperate. Fury Cove is a very dogable anchorage with some nice shell beaches on islets for Pi to run off leash again. The anchorage was crowded with 12 other boats for at least the night.
