August 27. We went over to the public 4th Street Dock early to top up our drinking water tank, drop some garbage and take a quick pay shower. We motored outa Tofino about 8:15 am and then raised the sails, with a nice tail wind. This was our first whole day of sailing; about 7 hours into Bamfield. So nice to not hear the motor and motorfans running; just the water on the hull and the wind in the sails. Bamfield is a nice secure harbour and has a population of about 250. At this time of year with all the recreational fishers in town……much much more than 250. There appears to be a lot of nice hiking
