July 18. It was rainy but not much wind and the marine forecast was for 10 to 15 knots from the south. Good enough, I thought. And yes it was a relatively easy but long, 10 hour motor into just outside Prince Rupert. At about 4 hours the clocks on our phones automatically went to Pacific Standard Time. Welcome back to Canada. My previous day’s study and research got the Auto Pilot working, which made the crossing easier, though it did not work well in the bigger swells or cross winds. Maybe I can figure out how to adjust it to work better? It was getting kind of late in the day after about 10 hours of motoring into a slight headwind and we could not contact the harbours in Prince Rupert so dropped anchor and the crab trap in Pillsbury Cove, about a mile or two out of the main marinas in Prince Rupert. The skies had cleared so we had a nice outside HH and curry vegs dinner and to bed by 10pm.
